Botkyrka konsthall is a centre for contemporary art, located in Fittja, northern Botkyrka. Here we share our new premises with the Fittja Library, and are part of the local community whilst also being an art scene.
We want to inspire everyone to approach the many expressions of contemporary art through various forms of participations, meetings and collaborations. In the program you will find exhibitions, workshops, screenings, conversations, art in the public space, or art in a book form through Labyrint, our archive with artists’ books.
In the studio, pre-schools and schools in the municipality, are invited to explore materials, techniques and ideas together with our art educators. During weekends and holidays, there are also open creative workshops for children and youths.
Botkyrka konsthall applies free admission, and everyone is welcome.

Botkyrka konsthall is part of the Culture & Leisure Department in the municipality of Botkyrka.
…Botkyrka konsthall also manages the municipality’s art collection and works with the 1% commissions for public art within the municipality.

…Our international residency programme Residence Botkyrka invites artists, architects, chefs and curators to work from the context of Fittja and Botkyrka.
…Junior Residence is our summer job project where young people from Botkyrka explore and experiment through art.
…Together with the Xet Sällskapet, we run Xetmuseet, which preserves and presents the legacy of the Tumba-born artist Sven X:et Erixson. The museum is located in Tumba next to the library.
