Färgkodade parabolantenner, filmprojektioner, ritualer, matrecept, örter, arkitekturhistoria och lokala berättelser om plats, minnen och gemenskap. Under åren har Residence Botkyrka gett upphov till en mångfald av konstnärliga processer, möten och idéer som nu samlas i ett nytt digitalt arkiv.

Efter mer än 15 år av residensverksamhet i Fittja lanserar Botkyrka konsthall Residence Botkyrkas onlinearkiv, en samling spår, dokumentationer och berättelser som tillsammans väver samman verksamhetens historia. Syftet är att göra historien tillgänglig för grannar, publik och framtida residenskonstnärer som är intresserade av att engagera sig i och bygga vidare på de idéer som samlats under åren. Det ger också en möjlighet att reflektera över framtiden som gemenskap.

Residence Botkyrka är Botkyrka konsthalls internationella ateljéprogram för konstnärer som under en period bor och verkar i Botkyrka. Sedan 2010 har lägenheten på Krögarvägen 26 i Fittja fungerat som ett tillfälligt hem för konstnärer från hela världen. Programmet utgår från platsen och relationen till lokalsamhället, och ger utrymme för konstnärliga processer som får ta tid att växa fram.

A neighbourhood café, a street party, an outdoor oven, a local flea market. Colour-coded satellite dishes, film projections, rituals, food recipes, herbs, architectural history, and local stories about place, memory, and community. Over the years, Residence Botkyrka has generated a wide range of artistic processes, encounters, and ideas, now brought together in a new digital archive.

After more than 15 years of residency activity in Fittja, Botkyrka konsthall is launching Residence Botkyrka’s online archive — a collection of traces, documentation, and stories that together weave the history of the programme. The aim is to make this history accessible to neighbours, audiences, and future resident artists interested in engaging with and building upon the ideas gathered over the years. It also offers an opportunity to reflect on the future as a community.

Residence Botkyrka is Botkyrka konsthall’s international studio residency programme for artists who live and work in Botkyrka for a period of time. Since 2010, the apartment at Krögarvägen 26 in Fittja has served as a temporary home for artists from around the world. The programme is rooted in place and in relationships with the local community, and allows artistic processes the time they need to unfold.
