Samtal och workshop
Välkommen till ett samtal och workshop med konstnären Rudy Loewe. En del av utställningen Härifrån som rundar av med finissage och konstfestivalen Fittja, mat & konst den 14 september (kl. 12-17).

Kl. 13-13.30 Samtal och introduktion till Rudy Loewes konstnärliga praktik som tar sig uttryck i teckning, måleri och grafik. Historieberättandet är centralt i Rudys arbete. Genom att använda arkivmaterial, intervjuer och dokumentationer, synliggör Rudy berättelser som sällan får det utrymme de förtjänar. Språk: engelska.

Kl. 13.45-16 Workshop (drop-in): hur visualiserar vi en plats gemenskap, dess historia, arkitektur och människorna som bor där? Vi skapar bilder utifrån olika material som sen sammanförs till en gemensam publikation. Språk: svenska och engelska.

Plats: Botkyrka konsthalls konstverkstad

I målningen ”In this Place / På den här platsen” porträtteras platsen Fittja genom en väv av berättelser, möten och landskap. I processen har Rudy intervjuat människor från området och ställt frågor som rör våra gemensamma rum och de gemenskaper vi formar tillsammans. Verket ingår i utställningen Härifrån som pågår till den 14:e september.

Welcome to a talk and workshop with artist Rudy Loewe, part of the exhibition programme From Here. Please join us for the Finissage and art festival Fittja, Food & Art on the 14th September (12-5PM) at Botkyrka konsthall in Fittja!

1-1.30 PM Artist talk and introduction to Rudy Loewe’s artistic practice that includes drawing, painting and printmaking. Storytelling is central to their work. Through archive material, interviews and documentation, Rudy seeks to visualize the narratives that rarely get the visibility they deserve. Language: English.

1.45-4 PM Workshop (drop-in): how do we visualize a community (place) through its history, architecture and the people who lives there? We create images from a variety of materials, that are then combined into a collective publication. Language: Swedish & English.

Location: Botkyrka konsthall’s art workshop (2nd floor).

The painting ”In This Place” portrays Fittja by weaving together stories, encounters and landscapes. In the process, Rudy has interviewed people from the area and asked questions about the spaces we share and the communities we form together, in this place. The painting is part of the group exhibition Härifrån / From Here that runs until the 14th September.
